Leumas Editor as a desktop app

Everything this site does, in its own window: drop a file on the app instead of on a tab. The installer is free, the editors are the same, and your file still never has to leave your computer.

What the app is

The app is this site, opened in its own window with its own icon in the taskbar and no browser chrome around it. Updates arrive on their own: the app checks the same release feed this page reads and installs the next version when you quit.

Why it is not signed yet

Windows SmartScreen warns about any installer without a code-signing certificate, and this one does not carry one yet. The warning is about the certificate, not the file: choose More info, then Run anyway, and the installer runs without administrator rights.

Questions

Does the app work offline?

The editors that run in your browser run in the app the same way, but the app loads the site to start, so it needs a connection to open. Once open, the twenty-seven browser operations need nothing else.

Is there a Mac or Linux version?

Not yet. The Windows build is first because it is what most visitors run; the feed this page reads will list other platforms the moment they are published.
